Ann (?) was also known as Ann Aunn.2 She was born circa 1790 at Ireland.1
Ann (?) was recorded as living with James McCheyne (who may have been her son), his wife Elizabeth Hawthorne, their child Sarah and 3 other adults (one of whom may have been Elizabeth's brother). in the 1841 census at McMillans Land, Cartsdyke, Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland. The 1841 census only recorded adult ages rounded down to the nearest 5 years; her approximate age was recorded as 40.2
She was listed as living with Elizabeth Hawthorne and her husband (who was at sea) and 4 of her grandchildren in the 1861 census at Broad Close, Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland. Broad Close was an old street in the centre of Greenock, later demolished.1 Her occupation was recorded as being a sick nurse in the census.1
