Annie Nicholson

Annie Nicholson was born on 30 October 1869 at Altrincham, Cheshire.¹ She was the daughter of Walter Wetherell Nicholson and Mary Goodfellow.¹

She was recorded as living with her parents, a servant and a nurse, and siblings Walter, Andrew, Fred, Harold and Joseph in the 1871 census at Hereford Street, Sale, Cheshire. She was recorded as being just 1 years old.²

She was recorded as living with her parents, two servants and her siblings Walter, Andrew, Harold, Edgar, Norman, Arthur and Edwin in the 1881 census at Brighton Grove, Rusholme, Manchester. She was recorded as being 11 years old.³ Her occupation was recorded as being a scholar in the census.³

Annie emigrated from England circa 1885. Annie arrived at Canada circa 1885.


She was recorded as living with her mother and siblings Harold, Edgar and Arthur in the 1891 census at Hochelaga, Quebec. She was recorded as being married, but her husband wasn't there.⁴

She was recorded as living with her mother and siblings Harold, Edgar, Norman, Arthur and Edwin in the 1891 census at St. Henri Town, Hochelaga, Quebec.⁵

Annie died on 6 December 1940 at Hawarden, Flintshire, Wales, at age 71.¹
