Ann was born circa 1759.2,3 She was the daughter of James MacKenzie and Elizabeth Williams.1 Ann Williams MacKenzie was baptised at All Saints on Sunday, 28 December 1760 at the village of Wyke Regis near the town of Weymouth, Dorset.4,5,1 Ann lived in May 1780 at Weymouth, Dorset.6

She likely married William Fooks, in a church of England cermony at All Saints on Saturday, 27 May 1780 at Wyke Regis, Weymouth, Dorset.. Ann was two months pregnant when she married, and William and Ann were both under 21.6,5

Ann and William Fooks became the parents of James MacKenzie Fooks on Thursday, 7 December 1780 at Melcombe Regis, Weymouth, Dorset.7,5

Ann's child James received his baptism at All Saints on Sunday, 7 January 1781 at Wyke Regis, Weymouth, Dorset.8,9

Ann's child William received his baptism on Tuesday, 8 July 1783 at Melcombe Regis, Weymouth, Dorset.10,11,12

Ann's child John received his baptism on Saturday, 27 October 1787 at Melcombe Regis, Weymouth, Dorset.13

Ann's child Elizabeth received her baptism on Sunday, 31 January 1790 at Melcombe Regis, Weymouth, Dorset.13

Ann's child Stephen may have received his baptism on Monday, 10 June 1793 at Melcombe Regis, Weymouth, Dorset.14,13

Ann's child Ann may have received her baptism on Sunday, 14 June 1795.13

Ann, as the mother of the groom, along with William may have attended the wedding of James and Jane Berjew by licence in a Church of England ceremony by Reverend Edward Matthew West at St. Mary's on Tuesday, 2 March 1802 at the village of Bradford Abbas near the town of Sherbourne, Dorset. James was 21 and his wife Jane was 23.. Others who may have attended include Catherine Wiltshire as mother of the bride and Samuel Berjew as father of the bride. James and Jane went on to have nine known children together.15,16,17,18,19,20

On 22 October 1824 her son James died at the age of 43.21

In Jane Iles's will on 6 November 1824 at Dorset Mary Ann Barbara Berjew, Catherine Jane Iles Fooks, Charles Berjew Fooks, William Samuel Fooks, Rev. Samuel Berjew Fookes, James MacKenzie Fooks, Ann Williams MacKenzie and Jane Fooks were named as heirs. Ann was granted £20. This was equivalent to half the annual wage of a labourer..22,23

The will of Jane Iles, in which Mary Ann Barbara Berjew, Catherine Jane Iles Fooks, Charles Berjew Fooks, William Samuel Fooks, Rev. Samuel Berjew Fookes, James MacKenzie Fooks, Ann Williams MacKenzie and Jane Fooks were named as heirs was proved on 24 April 1829 at Dorset.. Ann was granted £20. This was equivalent to half the annual wage of a labourer..22,23

Ann died in October 1832 at Weymouth, Dorset.5 She was buried on 24 October 1832 at Wyke Regis, Weymouth, Dorset.24
