William Henry Giles was born on 23 February 1878 at the Adelaide suburb of Kensington.1 He was the son of Samuel Alfred Giles and Rebecca Howe Oaten.1
William Henry Giles married Ada Boun on Tuesday, 26 June 1900 at Baldina, South Australia. They were 22 and 28 respectively.1
William died on 19 March 1940 at South Australia at age 62.1
