Roy Alexander Barclay Reid was born on 9 October 1909 at 25 Racecourse Cresent, in Launceston, Tasmania.1 He was the son of John Barclay Reid and Miriam Fairbrother.1 Roy Alexander Barclay Reid was baptised at Holy Trinity Church on Thursday, 9 December 1909 at Launceston, Tasmania.2 He was a salesman on 8 December 1939.2
Roy Alexander Barclay Reid married Jean Hainsworth at St. John's on Saturday, 9 December 1939 at the Melbourne suburb of Elsternwick. They were 30 and 27 respectively.2
Roy died on 3 May 1992 at Victoria at age 82.1 His body was cremated at Springvale Botanical Crematorium on 6 May 1992 at the Melbourne suburb of Springvale.2
