Grace MacKenzie was born in 1850 at Parramatta, New South Wales.1,2 She was the daughter of Thomas MacKenzie and Fanny Nicholson.1 Grace MacKenzie was probably baptised on Wednesday, 27 February 1850 at Sydney.3
On 4 July 1860 Margaret's mother wrote a letter home to Scotland to her sister Anne giving news of the family, stating "I was left with eight children to provide for, but thank God, they are nearly all able to take care of themselves ... my two youngest, Fanny and Grace, are still at home."4
Grace MacKenzie married Edward Mackoy circa 1875 at Balmain.5,6
Grace MacKenzie married Andrew Mangan in 1891 at Balmain.5
Grace died on 1 January 1892 at 21 Curtis Road, in Balmain, She died of a post-partum haemorrhage that had been going on for 6 hours.5 Her body was interred at Leichardt Cemetery on 2 January 1892 at Leichhardt. She was buried in the Presbyterian section.5
