Edith Annie Springham was born circa 1877 at Stanstead Abbots, Hertfordshire.2 She was the daughter of Joseph Springham and Annie Louisa Darby.1 Edith Annie Springham was baptised at St. James' on Sunday, 8 July 1877 at Stanstead Abbots, Hertfordshire.1 She was a scholar in April 1891.3
She was recorded as living with her parents, her aunt Sarah (who was recorded as being their servant) and siblings Cecilia and Joseph in the 1891 census at 21 Roydon Road, Stanstead Abbots, Hertfordshire. She was recorded as being 13 years old.3
