Thomas Copeland was born in 1815 at Benington, Hertfordshire.2 He was a cordwainer in November 1851.1

Thomas Copeland married Elizabeth Fenson Baron, daughter of John Baron, at St. Leonard's on Sunday, 30 November 1851 at Shoreditch, London.1 Thomas Copeland was a shoemaker in March 1871.2

He was recorded as head of household in the 1871 census with Elizabeth Fenson Baron as his spouse at Benington Green, Benington, Hertfordshire. His age was recorded as being 56 years old, and their 12 year old grand-daughter was also in the house.2
