He was recorded as head of household in the 1881 census with Ruth Anna Leonard as his spouse and children living at Wilmslow Road, Withington, Lancashire. He was recorded as being 43 years old, and also living with his 5 sons, a boarder and a servant.2 His occupation was recorded as being a pharmacuetical chemist in the census.2
Thomas Terry married Caroline Crofts circa September 1889 at Belper registration district, Derbyshire.4
He was recorded as head of household in the 1891 census with Caroline Crofts as his spouse at 87 Wilmslow Road, Withington, Lancashire. He was recorded as being 53 years old, and living with his second wife and children from his first marriage.5
