She was recorded as living with her parents, her cousin and an elderly widowed visitor in the 1891 census at 'Strawberry Gardens' in London Road, Preston, Lancashire. She was recorded as being 10 years old. Also in the household was their ten year old daughter, a niece and an elderly widowed visitor.2
