John was born circa 1785.1

He married Ann Weems, daughter of John Weems, in a Church of England ceremony at St. George's Hanover Square on Saturday, 29 March 1806 at London.. John and Ann went on to have two known children together.2,1 John Shave was a confectioner and pastrycook circa 1810.3 On circa 1816 John Shave took on John Oaten as an apprentice confectioner / pastrycook for 7 years at 51 Curzon Street, St. George Hanover Square, London.4 John Shave was a confectioner and pastrycook in 1821 at St. George Hanover Square, London.3

John died before 1824.1
