Henry Ernest Hawley

Henry was born in December 1879 at Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire.^2,3 Henry Ernest Hawley was also known as Harry.³ He was a worker on the hydroelectric scheme at Okere falls, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand.³ Some of the extended family posed for a photograph in circa 1915 at [Q].

He married Coralie Hannah Lucy Fookes, daughter of Rev. Henry Samuel Cox Fookes and Jane Maria Murray, in 1915 at New Zealand..⁴

Henry and his wife Coralie emigrated with Coralie's son Bill from New Zealand.³ Henry and his wife Coralie arrived at Tasmania.³
Henry Ernest Hawley was an electrician at Mout Lyell Copper Mine, in Queenstown, Tasmania.² He and Coralie Hannah Lucy Fookes moved to Sydney.³

Henry and his wife Coralie emigrated with their young son and Coralie's son Bill from Sydney circa 1920.³ Henry and his wife Coralie arrived at England circa 1920.³


Henry died on 30 July 1948 at 191 Basford Park Road, in Basford, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, at age 68.²

Henry's will was probated on 12 October 1948. Probate granted to Lloyds Bank Ltd. Effects: £6,977 8s 10d.²
