Ann was born circa 1832 at Dublin.2 She was the daughter of Edward Dunne.1 Her common name was Annie.3 Ann Dunne was a servant in 1855.4

Annie Dunne emigrated from Plymouth on 9 June 1855 on the 'Thomas Arbuthnot.2,5' She arrived on 13 September 1855 at Port Adelaide, South Australia.2,5


She married Alexander Charles Deane, son of Kyrl Allen Deane and Mary Lucinda Gregg, on Monday, 4 August 1856 at the Adelaide suburb of Kensington..6

Ann and Alexander Charles Deane became the parents of Lucy Deane circa 1859 at South Australia.7 Alexander worked for a couple of years as a shepherd with his future wife Anne Deane.8

Ann died on 26 June 1870 at Melbourne Street, in North Adelaide, of TB. Her obituary stated: "DEANE.—On the 26th June, at Melbourne street, North Adelaide, South Australia, Annie, the wife of Alexander Charles Deane, after a long and painful illness, aged 36 years, leaving her husband and six children to deplore their loss. Her end was peace. Dublin and Boulogne-Sur-Mer papers please copy."4
