Stanley was born in 1888 at Carcoar, New South Wales.1 He was the son of Eleazar Owens and Alice Harrison. Stanley Owens was also known as Stan. He lived with his parents at Mandurama, New South Wales, in 1891. It is most likely that the Owens family lived in Mandurama from the birth of Ivy up to and beyond her marriage in 1911.2
He married Kate MacNamara, in 1911 at Condoblin, New South Wales..3
His father died 26 June 1928 at the age of 70.4
Stanley died on 13 May 1962 at at 119 Trafalgar Street in the Sydney suburb of Stanmore.5
